Our founder was undergoing a home renovation when an access panel was needed in one of his walls. "How hard could it be to install?"  he asked himself, before attempting the entire start-to-finish installation process. He quickly grew frustrated with how time-consuming and tedious the entire operation was - having to brace the structural opening with timber and then needing to screw the access panel into the bracing.

Our founder set his sights on creating an access panel that required little to no additional materials, but was so straightforward to install that even someone with no construction knowledge could do it. FlipFix was born.

Transforming the UK Market

FlipFix transformed the UK construction industry, quickly becoming the UK's best selling access panel nationwide. Contractors quickly learned about the benefits of a FlipFix Access Panel, as they saw a saving of up-to 80% on labour time plus hundreds of pounds in material savings.
Combine this with our industry-leading 3-5 working day lead time for bespoke enquiries, and our next working day delivery service to mainland UK addresses and it's clear to see how FlipFix became the dominant access panel supplier throughout the country.

Even with our fantastic success across the UK, we continue to improve our products and services to both the trade and public. This was especially apparent in 2021 when we launched our Mitreless Frame and Flush Lock enhancements to the FlipFix range.
Previously, the frame was welded and a mitre was visible at each corner - but this was changed to be made from one piece of steel, improving not just the appearance but also the panel's strength and durability while in transit.
A bung cover would also hide the locking mechanism from sight - however the cover would often get lost leaving the lock hole exposed. Now our spring loaded lock sits flush with the panel face, offering unrivalled aesthetics when compared with our competition.

For the future, locally and globally

Our manufacturer has invested significantly in its capabilities over the past few years as demand for FlipFix has increased across the UK and Europe. In 2021, a new state-of-the-art production centre was unveiled harnessing the power of automation. This resulted in the stock manufacturing capabilities tripling.

There are now two manufacturing facilities, one dedicated to bespoke and one for stock products, enabling us to offer a 3-5 working day lead time for all bespoke enquiries, and cementing FlipFix as the number one choice for all your access panel requirements.

FlipFix is a proud supporter of its local community, sponsoring local football teams at both grassroots and national levels. In late 2021, we were proud to announce that we became a Community Partner of former Premier League Champions Leicester City FC.
Globally, we are proud to support the Friends of Ashanti charity, which was founded in 2007 to help build the Gary Marvin Memorial Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana, providing medical care to over 100,000 local residents.
